Welcome to the home of Miss Milly Tant a famous resident of Brooklands Museum. Milly started life in 1954 with the military, was acquired by London Transport (where the crane was added) and then she finally joined The National Rescue Group in 1983.
After a long and interesting career I decided to retire her and Brooklands Museum was selected, as she spent most of her time there anyway. Today she is looking a little sorry for herself, but still works just as hard. Now that I have retired myself, I intend to try and find a sponsor to help us give her a repaint.
These pages are here to help people find out more about this unique AEC Militant Recovery Vehicle and we are very happy to publish any pictures you have of her in action. We are also interested in hearing from people, that knew her during her working life.
